Hello, my name is Charles Sawadogo, owner and founder of AFRIGATESUSA. I was born and raised in Africa, and have travelled extensively throughout that continent while working in several different business industries.

My business experience started as a commercial manager in Burkina Faso, West Africa, selling and maintaining electronic equipment for offices. Later, I became an assistant manager at Loring Labs Inc, a Canadian mining company in West Africa. I also worked in logistics for Tiehpo Resources in Liberia, and ended my work experience in Africa working as socio-ethnologist for Japan International Cooperation Agency in West and Central Africa.

In 2005 I moved to the United States and became a US citizen, and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in business administration, and also with a diploma in Electro-optics from the US Army Ordnance School in Virginia.

I have worked for over 20 years in a variety of business industries:

  • 10 years business experience in the mining, logistics, business, and education sectors (West and Central Africa).
  • 2 years in automotive sales.
  • 5 years in the aerospace industry (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA).
  • 1 year in oilfields as an electronic technician (North Dakota, Colorado, and Wyoming, USA).
  • 3 years in biomedical manufacturing to promote US import/export businesses. (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA).

What makes me uniquely qualified:

  • Over 20 years business experience in a variety of industries.
  • Degrees in Business Administration and Electro-optics.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • African born and raised. Live in the US and am a US citizen.
  • 11+ years serving in the Utah National Guard.
  • Widespread field expertise of Africa regions and the business environment.
  • Extensive customer service experience and knowledge of US industries.
  • Vast technical experience at the manufacturing level.
